This week Indigo Class discussed the work of Marcus Walters, a UK based illustrator and designer working in a variety of media. We looked at some of his screen printing work (see examples below, lower four images), and used these as inspiration to come up with a three-layered design. We learnt about a technique for screen printing that uses stencils, and will be cutting and printing the first layer of our designs next week.

This project is part of the ‘Inspire’ section of Arts Award Explore- we’ll be documenting our progress and reflecting on which elements we have most enjoyed in our Arts Logs as we go.
