We had a lovely couple of days of workshops over the Easter holidays! Here’s what we got up to…
We designed some fantastic robot characters using cardboard, gold acrylic paint, metallic paper and other bits and pieces!
Visiting artist Clare (Paisley Art) showed us how to make vibrant mixed media artwork, using leaf shapes as inspiration. We used inks to create a background then chose different papers to work on top. We got some lovely results!
Clare runs adult art classes too- please use this link to her Facebook page Paisley Art for details.
Drawing with Ink and Twigs
Clare showed us how to use twigs dipped in ink to draw expressive birds!
Visiting artist Rose showed us how to weave our own dreamcatchers using willow, yarn and thread. We incorporated beads and feathers into our designs. It was a fiddly job but the results were great!
You can find out more about Rose’s art on her website.
Rose showed us how to create lots of different kinds of flowers using tissue paper. We made them into headdresses!
We painted colourful backgrounds onto MDF using acrylic paint, before adding paper butterflies!
A big thank you to Clare, Rose and to everyone who came to our workshops- we had a lovely time with you all!
