Maroon & Turquoise Class

Our reception, year 1 and year 2 artists added their initials to our Jasper Johns-inspired canvases today! We created a stencil using card and painted around it to make the letter. We then produced some colourful lions using our primary and secondary colours!

Amber, Magenta & Violet Class

Our year 3 and 4 artists added their initial to their canvases too. We then looked at ‘Avenue of Poplars’ by Vincent Van Gogh, and talked about one point perspective. We created our own versions of the painting and used autumnal colours in the Impressionist style to add leaves to our images.

Jade & Emerald Class

Our year 5 and 6 artists also added their initials to their canvases. We then looked at examples of work by Jean Michel Basquiat and started to create our own self portraits based on his work.
